      Water with a little lemon

No sweetener! Keep a pitcher in refrig. Just a glass before each meal and halfway between meals; fills up tummy and maybe you won't eat as much. But most overeating is boredom or emotional, not really "hunger", so...

How about "Old Mother Hubbard" diet: remember that ditty from childhood:

..And when she got there, the cupboard was bare..."

If it is not in the house, it won't be eaten! fits well with the "Bankruptcy Diet": only essentials in the shopping cart (note: potato chips and corn curls are NOT essential foods, get cheap carrots and dip or apples to munch for crunch!)

Of course, in my house of 3 females, dark chocolate IS essential, ah hem....

          Palumbo Diet:

          Supps:ESSENTIAL POLYUNSATURATES:
-Omega-3 Fish Oil pills 1000mg 3x per day
-Evening Primrose Oil (Omega-6) 1300mg 2x per day
-Extra Virgin Olive Oil is still better for your heart! These are HEART HEALTHY MONOUNSATURATED FATS (along with MACADAMIA NUT OIL). MONO's are NOT essential fats; however, they ARE very heart healthy.

          NON ESSENTIAL but HEART HEALTHY
Macadamia Nut oil (Omega-9 monosaturates) 2-3 ablespoons per day

*1.5g pro and .5g fat per lbs of total bodyweight
          * LI Cardio, HR under 130 bpm
          * LI cardio performed in the AM and post-workout
          * Cardio 7 days per week
          * Cardio never to go over 60min per session

          Diet: (for 250lb man)
          Meal 1 6 whole Omega-3 eggs
Meal 2 8oz chicken with 1/2 cup raw almonds
Meal 3 50g whey with 2 tablespoons all natural peanutbutter (PWO)
Meal 4 8oz salmon with 1 cup asparagus with 1 tablespoon macadamia nut oil
          Meal 5 50 g whey with 2 tablespoon PB
          Meal 6 6 whole eggs
          (5 meals for Women)

HAVE YOUR CHEAT MEAL ON THE SAME DAY EVERY WEEK, last meal of the day so you dont cheat again.

when following my diet plan (which includes getting your brain into ketosis), there can be NO starchy carbs eaten!

          Cardio:
CARDIO should be performed at a low intensity (under 120bpm heartrate). This will ensure that you use FAT as a fuelsource since as your heartrate increase, carbohydrates begin to become the preferred fuel of choice for the body. When on a low carb diet, you're body will break down muscle and turn that into carbs. Remember, Fat CANNOT be changed into carbs. Therefore, the rule of cardio should be LONG DURATION, LOW INTENSITY

          Forget using:
-MCT's are a waste when you're dieting. If you're gonna use FATS for an energy source, they might as well serve a function in the body. MCTs are useless. They can only serve as a source of energy!
-Arginine is not going to do anything. It will DO something; just not dramatic.

Once cardio is maxed out, the removal of fats would take place and you may replace with veggies to stay satiated. These veggie days would be added as fat loss stalls, some need them, some don't.

IMPORTANT Track your body composition to ensure you do not lose much muscle.

I prefer the Weight Watcher "diet". I eat whatever I want in the proper portions, follow the 8 healthy guidelines, journal everything I eat so that I don't go overboard, never deny myself anything that I am craving, and go to a meeting once a week. I've lost 102 pounds in a year and a half and still eat all the foods I love, just not as much of them. There have been hard times, but over all it's been easier than I ever imagined. I've failed miserably at every other diet I have attempted. I also go to Curves 3 days a week and play a lot more than I used to (basketball, soccer, bike riding, swimming).

I have lost 19 1/2 lbs (as of this morning!) in the past 3 months just by fast-walking for 45 minutes at least 5 times a week, and by cutting down (not out!) on starchy or sugary desserts. I also started having more frequent but smaller meals each day. I don't deprive myself of anything. I'm very happy with the results and look forward to losing the remaining 10 lbs or so.
