Heh, sorry, had to do it. Hope no one was eating.
har har! I just saw that. hey we are only 12 years whoops 14 years away from 2022 & the Soylent factory...it is kind of scary how movies do that, then 3 decades later it comes to pass. and then you wonder how anyone could have such a weird imagination to make a movie & wonder where the thoughts really came from. but that is also just me trying to make too much sense of everything

some of them DONT listen to a single word. It is all legalism especially in the bigger associations. They just go straight from the XRay to the operating table & then send you home...without ever knowing or caring what you think or what pain you are in.

There are still some good ones in private practice who listen & they really dont want to see us in pain. It is difficult to find one who actually knows what you are trying to say.

I am leaning towards not complaining as I don't have time and it would do no good.

I get mad every time I think that I am paying (me and the co. I work for are paying) around $7200/year for health care but then they still charge me $30 for an appt., $20 for a prescription, and don't want to refer me to a masseuse or chiropractor or anyone like that who might actually HELP me. But they will send me for 3-4 MRI's which I think charge around $1000 each to the HMO. So I pay $30 for 2 minutes with a neurologist but nothing for an MRI. Go figure...

Don't get me wrong, I am glad they are willing to do an MRI to make sure I don't have a brain tumor or spine damage. BUT, they have now done 4-5 of them over the past 2 years and I am TELLING them that I am sure the problem is physical, that my neck and shoulders got tweaked out of whack during my whiplash accident 3 years ago when all this started. But they don't listen.

That's another issue: how doctors don't listen to what YOU think or say. They form their own opinions and won't let that be influenced by your own feedback. It's MY body, but why should they think I know anything about what is going on with it? Doctors pretty much suck nowadays.
It's cause it is just that - insurance; you are paying not only for your usual care while well or sick but that you may become seriously ill and have a $200,000 hospital bill. The same goes as to car insurance. We pay large premiiums for both each year and there are those that never go to the doctor or have an accident in their car and pay those premiums and then the copayments of they become ill or a high deductible if the car gets wrecked, even though they didn't have an accident in the prior 10 years. Without a high deductible, your premiums are through the roof. You take the risk too if you go without the insurance cause we all know what happens from that. Car insurance is mandatory to be able to put your car on the road. Medical insurance is not. It's all a big mess that we cannot do without no matter how much we or others complain.

If your computer needs repairs because it doesn't work right, doesn't work at all or whatever, you take it to a computer repair replace and see if they can fix it. If the person says he knows the answer within 5 minutes of being in front of the computer, but hasn't done much, you might think he is a moron.

But if a doctor spends only 5 minutes with us, what should we think?
