We filed our taxes in late Jan. Hubbys last 2 are 57, the Where my stimulus? program says May 6th.

The IRS now has a tool to check the status for the stimulus payments!!

It did not work for me either!
Imagine that - the IRS screwing something up!???

Wonder how much of our tax dollars went into making that web site that doesn't work?

I got this message:

"We are sorry, but we cannot provide the status of your Stimulus payment. Please check the Payment Schedule available on our web site. If the filing status on your 2007 tax return is Married Filing Joint, please use the FIRST Social Security Number shown on your return when you use the Payment Schedule to find your estimated payment date. The schedule will show you approximately when you can expect to receive your payment, if you qualify for it.

Please allow 2 weeks from the date shown on the schedule to receive your payment.

Remember, in order to qualify for the Stimulus payment, you must have filed your 2007 tax return."

We filed out taxes in Jan, had them deposited direct deposit. Our last 2 digits are 09 and it's not showing us either. Keeps giving me that mistake messages, so I am thinking since so many are getting that same message it's the site. You would think the government would have some sort of computer tech that could fix that wouldn't you??

So 57, comes before 06..now I get it. IRS has totally messed this whole thing up.

Folks, we have all filed bankruptcy. The IRS knows that - we're in one of their databases to identify specific groups paying taxes. They may have a filter set up on this online form to divert bk filers from getting a date because some filers aren't going to get to keep their stimulus payment. Just a thought....

We haven't filed yet. We are waiting on the stimulus and then filing. Oh and I checked first thing this am, no deposit.

I'm a 73 & no check yet...

checks wont go out until end of May...only direct deposit will get it soon.

I too checked the IRS website, and it gives me the same message as PaKettle... oh well I'll get it when I get it

I received my deposit today

I tell yah I was sweating this out...so, hang in there folks!

BTW my niece who never ever filed a BK and has "54" as her last 2 digits got that same error that they don't have info on her.

The payment was there when I checked this morning so I assume after midnight last night.

We filed way early, middle of Jan, had it direct deposited. DH ss ends in 09 and it's not in the acct yet! Why!??!?!? I keep seeing people are getting theirs and we haven't yet. We got the letter and haven't filed BK yet, so I don't understand why it's not there!
