    New Pics

As some of you know I am a camera buff. I just bought a new Canon Powershot 8 megapixel. The one that looks like and PERFORMS like an SLR. I am selling my 35MM Minolta SRT (just spent $75.00 on a recondition), Maxxum, Olympus, Nikon and Fuji Digitals and my next step is a Canon SLR. I am sold on this brand now.

These pics are nothing special and please keep in mind that the Aircraft pics are from great distance in the bleachers and some at a bout 200 feet from the ground. I am just learning the features of this nice little camera. I used "Auto" today so please forgive some haze.

    Markham Park, Weston Florida today

Altitude abt. 200 feet, 3/4 mile distance, max. zoom. About 100-130 mph?

    Landing

The field, half mile, full zoom

    Helicopers at full zoom

A couple of nature shots, macro and zoom macro

Sorry Best Buy but I'm in love with this Camera! Best $350.00 I've spent, this is my only vice and hobby.

I am going to Thunder over Louisville this weekend. (first time in my life) I cannot wait to see some of those planes, copters & jets. Your camera would take some real nice pics of the fireworks & the bridge waterfall ...

I'm a photo nut too and have the Canon PowerShot S3IS - I love mine as well!! Great prosumer camera and no heavy lenses and other equipment to lug around. Takes the sweetest photos in tough conditions - your pics prove it. Nice work!

After owning an old Canon and then a Sony Cybershot, I went back to Canon for my next camera. Canon's are also the highest rated on most Digital Photography sites.

I have one of the newer Canon Powershots - the number escapes me at the moment - 570? It has the longer zoom lens and the Image Stabilization and uses AA batteries. I love it. It shoots very well in low light situations without a flash.

My sister has the 430 and although it doesn't handle low light quite as well, it is lighter and smaller than mine and she loves it.

                  Very nice pictures!

Be careful with the Canon Powershot. I had 1 and the camera died on me on our last day on vacation a couple years back. It was only a few weeks old. Lost ALL of my vacation pics. Hopefully I just had a lemon of a camera.

Just want to give everyone a heads up to save pics to pc or have them printed often.

Well folks, had to cut my losses on the 9.5 mpg -12 2006 Ford E350 bus. What a deprciation, I paid $8000 to get rid of it. For many reasons, the main one being that gas has more than doubled since i bought it, the kids are grown and a host of other reasons (parking limitations among them) it was for the best. When my wife drove it we filled it once every three weeks. When she wentn to work for the State we found that it was not allowed inthe building and our truck was to old for me to let her drive it through certain areas to get to work. I bought her the Jetta and took the bus to driive for myself, 60 miles round trip per day plus now that she works later all the stuff for my boys and all the other family things totaling with no exageration over 500 miles per week. Gas was running average 140.00 up to 200.00, it paid to eat the vehicle and lose the 8 grand. The KBB was declining monthly as the E 350 Bus (yes, it is registered as a bus) is barely sellabe, mine now had 60k miles. You can get one 5 months old with 5k miles for 18k without breaking a sweat, they are 34k new.

So I posted my nice little NEW Honda Civic pics here so as not to open a new thread.
