    Cell phone problem

Last Saturday, I went to a concert (Moody Blues) and now I can not hear anything when I answer my phone or go 2 my messages...I'm up for a new phone...but I can still play my videos & kind of hear the music but....has anyone ever done this? And, how can I prevent it in the future?

P.S. yes...I did record snippets of the best songs...that's why I think I blew out the speaker?

I think the problem was the concert.

When you go to a Moody Blues concert, you are instantly transported back to 1978. They did not have cell phones in 1978.

Usually, when the concert is over, you return to current space and time. For some reason, you are still stuck in 1978.

The only way to go forward is to attend a concert of a more current band, one that started playing AFTER cell phones were invented.

If your cell phone was an older model, Green Day would probably work.

If it was 'state of the art', you may want to try Hannah Montana.

    Good luck!

YOYO I think you are right. The best way to check would be to walk into a Mall and see if when you come out you automatically start looking for a lime green Dodge Challenger with Cragar SS mags and a white vinyl roof.

Have you thought about your eight tracks lately? Or a Dolphins winning season?

It is only two years old ( a nice Razor which has worked perfectly up until it's second birthday) but most likely considered a dinosaur already. YES is playing in Tampa in the summer but I fear the phone will not make past this evening. I'll be working our Sarasota Film Festival Opening Night Gala at the Ringling Museum this evening and doubt there will be much cell power left to capture any of the excitement...I have made the decision to drag myself to Alltel tomorrow morning and expand my horizons with a phone more adapted to the year 2008.

take the battery out for 60 seconds then replace. it should reset it. The loud music can get it all out of whack. Good luck.

Broke down & replaced phone/renewed contract

I have resolved this issue....I renewed my contract with my cell phone provider on Saturday morning....I was the only person in the store at 9:01 a.m.....of course, everyone else was still in bed from Friday night.

I now have the new Razor touch screen thing. It is BEAUTIFUL!

Yes, it was expensive but I use it all the time, therefore, worth the $. I had 1,374 after 7/weekend minutes on my bill last month, which are of course, "free" or whatever the * that really means, all of which cost me only $63.97/month.

I did acquire a weird crick in my neck from using the phone on speaker phone for all of last week.

The alltel guy told me, yes, the Moody Blues were the mitigating factor in blowing out my phone....so, should you go to a concert & take video on your phone, if you're in the 9th row, inside, you will blow it out...at least the video was superb! I will not be making any more sense than this as I have just come out of a 65 hour week of work and I've lost it....

If you use that many minutes, I'm never giving you my phone number. I don't have that kind of time to allow for friendship. lol

It's those darn late night calls that burn up those kind of minutes

I told the elf to stop dialing after 3 a.m. but he continues to disobay me ...however, I do get chocolates under the pillow when I wake up...

I'm afraid you should both use some of your minutes to call a hotline equipped to help you.

                          Phone Update!

Two of my friends have also have problems with their cells. One of them has the same speaker issue but acquired it differently. The other set hers near a glad air freshner and it leaked into her phone which caused the phone to start disintigrating.

My new phone continues to function fine except the little "charge" cover on the side fell off yesterday. It's a pretty flimsy thing/looks like it's meant to just fall off like a baby's belly button gook....it really serves no purpose but to get in the way of the charge connection and/or to break your fingernails...maybe it's meant to fall off?

I did get a case for the phone through Alltel as the senior at the cell phone cover kiosk at the mall had never seen this phone before and there were no covers available...so I've got the basic leather/see through plastic thingy that was available years ago before all the bling/paris hilton covers...I guess I have to wait for a grateful dead cover unless some ingenious person thinks of it....
