    Anyone get anything yet???

Remember 4-5 months ago a discussion centered here about a class action suit by people who traveld to a foeign country and were screwed by CC companies in the exchange rate calculation? Many people received a form to complete, me included, that would reimburse people by at least $25.
I haven't recived mine yet, has anyone?

Class action settlements can take years and the larger they are the longer they take. This is a big one. Was anything mentioned in there when funds would be distributed? One was sent to my deceased mother who never traveled overseas in her life. They could not give us an answer as to why she received one.

Refund requests for this settlement must be submitted by May 30, 2008. It usually takes another 6 months to then process and send out the refunds. You might get it by christmas this year, but don't count on it.

I was involved in a large class action over a stock fraud case. The case was settled in April 2005, requests for claims were due by July 2005. I finally got my settlement check in December 2007, only 2 1/2 years later after sending in my claim.

The lawyers collected $50 Million in fees for this case, leaving only $123 Million for the claimants. I lost $15,000 in the stock fraud, and my settlement check was for $940, a 6% return of my loss from fraud, and it took nearly 3 years. And the lying CEO responsible retired with a $20 million golden parachute. But he was a friend and large contributor of the Bush's, so all is well with the world.
