What is that huge coaster called? I haven't been to CP since high school, like 1980! I think all we had was the corkscrew back then...and not a ride to take at night with your mouth open screaming as all the bugs would fly in (during summer!)

It is. You have to be a real thrill seeker and not be afraid of them because they are so big & fast that they can intimidate at first.

That blue one is Millenium Force debuted in 2000. The wooden one is MeanStreak but I think it was topped just a little by the Beast at Kings Island. They have another one that went up about 40 stories at 120MPH but I cannot remember what it was called. I did not breathe through the whole thing.

They have 17 full length monster coasters now and the park is changing into these huge, massive, tall other rides that I thought could never exist- they kind of scare me but I still try them.

If you had Corkscrew then you probably had Gemini. The twin racer?? That is one of my all time favorites because you can ride it 20 times in a row without any waiting and really get into red car blue car winning. That is a fun track. I like Bluestreak with no seat belt- a lot of air time!!

I have fond memories of the beaches & marina. A lot of my family still lives close to Sandusky so I like to go back about every two years.

The really fast one is the Top Thrill Dragster....120MPH in like 4 or 6 seconds and up like 400 feet.....I think I slobbered on the person behind me on that one!

Here it is (Dragster) at night with fireworks. That one in the back is Power Tower, I am sure you know that one, erinb1975, kind of like the old Demon Drop but you can choose to launch up or down- that one is pretty tall too.

It goes so fast that the wind changes the shape of your face and sometimes the wind opens your mouth extra wide like surgery and slobbers come out. That coaster still scares me every time on the launch but it is a fun scary.

I also like Wicked Twister and Magnum have something about all the air time that it makes me laugh my gutts out with the never ending bunny hills at the end. Isn't that fun?

Yeah, know what you mean. I rode the dragster first one visit and was ruined for all subsequent coasters...even the Millenium force felt like a Sunday Drive

I am not sure how long I can take it either. They scare me, not the older ones but the newer ones are too big & too fast & really turn a lot.
We can still ride the train, feed the ancient lake erie carp and go on the paddle wheel boat

I have been to almost all of the parks & they do have the best & the best with the largest collection. Most parks will just have 4 to 7 coasters but they all go real slow with only one or two that makes the charts.
Like myself, we grew up with C.P. I thought all parks were the same but then after traveling to other fun parks, I come to realize that Cedar Point was always the best fun with the best tracks. Try to avoid the 4th and end of May, but most other times the line wait is not very long and you wont regret your visit also, where it is located in Sandusky is the most beautiful piece of property you could ever want to see.

I know the discovery shows you are talking about, they are good because it sticks to the main thing.

                            Europe! ok then.
I suppose you can always go there later but for a fraction of the cost, that is if you do not have to fly. Europe over Sandusky? LOL

It must be nice to be rich
