Ohh! The one cheaper fun thing to do is to take a roll of quarters and some pennies to do the pressed pennies that they have scattered throughout the park. We did this with my neice and nephew--the pennies turned out to be their main souvenier!

Disneyland.....my home! I'm so happy you're going and you will have an awesome time!!!

Yes you can bring snacks into the park and as long as it's not a ton, they will likely say nothing to you about it in the baggage check. Also don't bring anything in glass containers (like baby food).

I see McDonald's, Denny's, etc have all been mentioned. They are all very easy to get to from the park and within walking distance.

Also, there are some places in the park to eat that won't totally break the bank. The cafeteria style restaurants aren't to bad.

Also someone mentioned the Character Warehouse for cheaper t-shirts, etc. It's easy to get to by bus if you don't have a car. You can check out their website at AMS Liquidation it's the first one listed in Fullerton. If you click on "Contact us" and sign up for their e-mails, you will get 10% off and sometimes 20% off offers. So it's totally worth it.

Anyway, I'm super happy for you! Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth and you will have so much fun!!!!!!

Yah. Knotts Berry & Cedar Point are the same company but I think KB is about 1/4 the size of CP. I went to Magic Mountain one time but it was just ok and it seemed kind of small. I would like to try Knotts Berry Farm one day just to see how CedarPoint really spread its wings out west like that.

It is always fun to create a little rivalry and talk to people in the lines about different places.

I was thinking one day, that maybe the enchantment & magic that we find from these parks was placed there at a young age & will always be there.

This is so true! I grew up on the east coast and started going to parks at age 3 and never stopped!

Dis, that is my ringtone for my co-workers, has been for years!!! "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me", when we have to move a train that come loud and clear through the shop, it also lets me know when to expect an overtime call at home ( a code from co-workers) so i know not to pick up the phone if I don't want to get charged for the OT, funny!!!

Where is KB and CP folks?????

CP is in Sandusky Oh. on Lake Erie. But that is only open from May thru October. I am thinking KB might be open all year round because it is not too far from Disney. I am not sure but they may have bought Kings Island.

Here are the Cedar Fair locations:

We carried a daypack (small backpack) with sandwiches and water and protein bars and etc. I have heard some theme parks do not allow food to be carried in. If they told me that I would tell them I was a diabetic/hypertensive or how about "I have leukemia". I would tell them that I HAVE to have my special food and I might mention the possibility of a lawsuit if they don't let me have it. ;-)

It's B.S. for them not to let you bring your own food, when a coffee and a cookie costs $10. No I'm not kidding.

Even water is expensive unless you want to drink out of those fountains that all the kids put their mouths around! YEECCCCHHHH!

So, we take our food and so far no one has stopped us.

You will save a little money by eating at nearby places outside the park, but even those are higher than normal as I recall. Taxis are very expensive, so you may as well eat across the street at Denny's as to pay for a cab ride to Taco Bell.

Make friends with someone with a car and get them to take you to a Taco Bell or etc.! ;-)

                            Have fun!

there is a del taco across the street south on Disneyland and actually just south of Disneyland hotel rel cheap and good. Don't plan on eating in the park. There are poor areas around there so there are things like mcdonalds . i can't think of were the grocery store is. I realize your dilemma because i had to do the same in florida for disney world . The grocery store there was very expensive though. The del taco is on katella 1.15 miles away from disenyland if you mapquest it. We have passes and sometimes stop off there.
