    OT-Starbucks closing for re-training tonight??

OMG, what is the world coming to?

Actually, I'm an employee but I think it's funny how they have to "re-train" the employees. You would be amazed at how many employee do not know how to pour a latte or not wiping the wands down when switching from milk to soy.

I was told this 2 weeks ago. It's not for the full night, just a few hours.

I'm so glad the SB that I go to has well trained employees. I've never gotten anything there that wasn't done the way I asked..my order isn't an easy one.

I heard that other coffee companies in my area are giving away free coffee during this time frame...smart business move but unfortunately they are not on every corner like Starbucks. I wouldn't even know where to find one.

The customer service and competency of Dunkin Donuts staff is complete garbage, in comparison to Starbucks. Starbucks coffee tastes like ass...but thier other beverages are pretty tastey though.

The part I find hard to believe is that 82% don't go to Starbucks!
CNN.com must have a very out-of-step crowd vs. the rest of us.

I don't make it a habit to go there, but I have found that when I do want coffee - usually a latte - and I go to some other place, it usually comes out wrong. While Starbucks isn't the BEST, it is at least good, and consistent.

Also I know that Starbucks goes down to Central America and checks on the evironmental conditions of the coffee farms, makes sure they're doing things right, and though they pay pennies on the dollar, the sellers are still happy to have a buyer.

I am actually one of the ones that voted in that 82% last night. I love coffee, drink probably a whole pot a day by myself. But I have never ever ever been to Starbucks. We don't have one here, and I believe the closest one is 2 hours away.

Yeah, one of my coworkers grounded me from the pot this afternoon. He said I was bouncing too much.
Some days I do drink a lot, others not as much.
The way things are at work right now, I am living off of coffee and energy drinks. We were already down 2 scrub techs( they pass the doctors the instruments during surgery) Then 2 weeks ago, the only remaining one other than me quit unexpectedly. So I have been on call 2 straight weeks 24/7. I will be on call for at least the next 5 weeks with no break.

                          Interesting.

I guess living in Italy for 8 years has made me a pretty good coffee drinker. My drinks are loaded with either 3 shots or 4 shots of espresso. I don't know many/if any, real coffee drinkers that can handle that.

My hubby doesn't like SB's coffee either and he is a "real coffee" drinker.
