When you see the word "bump" all by itself in a reply to a posting - what does it mean?
Please don't reply "bump"!

As posts are written, they are automatically listed by date and time from the most recent to the least recent. When someone responds to your post, it has the effect of "re-aging" it and moving it back to the top of the page. When someone bumps a post, it means that they are replying to their own message in order to move it back to the top of the heap so that maybe someone will reply. In general, you will only see "bump" on a post to which no one has yet replied, because it's better netiquette to start a new thread for new question than keep bumping a post that has already received answers.

It's very hard to wait when you are as stressed as many of our new members are - lots of questions with no answers - it's tough. But our regular members do tend to be more impatient with new members who have a habit of bumping too quickly.
