Just filed using HR Block site, am getting a little bit back this year. This year I'm filing HOH, not married/jointly, and I can believe the difference in the return I am getting. Oh well, at least I got some back, and won't have to worry on how to spend all that money before I file Ch 7!!

No, I owe this year and we are really struggling. It will be last minute filing only. I am just holding out. I am toying with pulling the cash from my retirement and leaving but the big payoff adds about 400k to my fund in the next five years. So, it's like struggle and hold for five or six years and likely go to North Florida so that my wife can stay in the system. I have options but as I really look to moving to Tennessee I am realizing that I still like the familiarity of Florida and I am just plain used to things here. I did groceries myself today and am noticing that when certain staple items go on sale now the shelves get stripped fast.

CVS had McArthur Milk for 3.49 per gallon (reg. 3.99 at CVS) and the freezer here had four left by 3pm. It 6.19 in Publix or Winn Dixie. CVS uses it as a come on. It is the God of Milks here, "we all grew up on McArthur" the song says.

They are expecting the tax rebate to pull us out of a recession this time? Something global is up, people are panicking as evidenced by the rate cuts worldwide. I see people who make more than me struggling, many of them because of the burst of Home prices, they over mortgaged. Hopefully the rebate will make up for my shortfall. I don't know how people here are making it, I see people living in my NICE neiighborhood with more than one family and exceeding the density code here in Sunrise. Especially Hatians ytrying to get better homes with WalMart jobs, how are people making it?

No, didn't mean in your face at all, meant it for me alone. I am working all the OT possible to bump up my retirement and it kills me on taxes and sort of messe up the low tax rate.

ive used taxcut for the past 5 years and love it. This year I had my refund in 8 days from the day of filing. This program also asks for my previous years AGI, but that is only if I want to sign my return electronically. If I dont provide there is another sheet to print and mail in.

          The Price Of Milk?

6.19 for ONE gallon of milk??? Sheesh, I am in California and I thought things were high here but I can get two for that. One about 3.79 but there is always a 2 for deal about 6.39 at just about any supermarket I go to. (However, this price is one and a half times what it was about two years ago--price of fuel has driven everything up and it sucks)

I have never heard of McArthur milk so I don't know the song but I imagine it is a wonderful little tune.

I used the free turbo tax but with my IRA withdrawl, they bumped me up but it only cost 9.95!

I filed Saturday with HR Block online, regular 1040 with heavy itemized deductions. It cost me $14.95. Yesterday (a Sunday!) I was notified by e-mail that my tax return was accepted by the IRS and my refund will be in my bank account in 8 to 15 days.

We've used taxact.com for that past 4 years and love it. In fact we filed last night and expect to get our refund around Feb 15th (according to the e-mail we just got). We've never had a problem and they do all of the hard work for you. We do our state return also all for about $20.
