This tears it, it is a slap to anyone who loves the Country or serves it. I had heard about this incident but did not believe it to be true until I recieved it today. I loved his "early days" elephant riding stunt, ignored the voting record to some extent and tried to take the man seriously and even watched him this morning.

Disloyalty? That is exactly what this is. He has become in my book a dirty, disloyal fifth columnist aiding our enemies. "Hussien" fits. He is entitled to his opinion. I am entitled to the opinion that he is a disloyal scumbag and a wolf in sheeps clothing. I hope they run him, it will be a landslide but not in his favor. The voting record hasn't been put up to the forefront yet.

    Respect

Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.

Barack Hussein Obama's photo (that's his real name)......the article said he REFUSED TO NOT ONLY PUT HIS HAND ON HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, BUT REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE.....how can a man like this expect to be our next Commander-in-Chief????

I think we need to look at ALL photos rather than fixating on one. Obama's opponents' obsession with this photo is reminiscent of what the SC right-wing did to McCain in 2000... the Swift-Boat Attack. Even though I already voted for Hillary, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Here are many more photos, and videos, showing Obama's hand over his heart and reciting the Pledge.

Photograph shows Barack Obama not placing his hand over his heart while the U.S. national anthem is being played.

thanks for posting flbk7. robiv - your post made me think about when I go to church. I often do not recite with the pastor as everyone else does, nor do I sing - but that does not mean I am not a Christian. I do not always recite the pledge with the crowd either, and that does not make me any less American or patriotic. And I am a vet. Compared to many who have been our Commander in Chief (who shouldn't have been), I think Obama will make a great president. At the very least, he has the intelligence that has been lacking in that office for the past 8yrs.

Thanks also for the decent posts and not resorting to personal attacks for a difference of opinion. I definitely do not always recite with the Pastor. In this case this was very likely not just a lone incident. I really believe that this man is very anti-American. While I am unexcited about any candidate I will never vote for this man. This was on a stage, in front and his feelings are completely evident by his past remarks and overall record.

Sorry, can't agree in any way. If I were on stage with the Pastor and did this it would be absolute disagreement. Nor do I believe that voting for him makes you less or unChristian, it is not good to box people in and proclaim that this or that person thinks a certain way "because"..., people have a mikllion reasons for different opinions.

I was in a "sound off" mood anyway. One dog in heat, one avoiding the one in heat, work (yep, worked Sundays nearly all my working life, it is a trade off for the high pay in my trade), letters from Homeowners Insurance (Florida, getting hosed again), STILL fighting Citizens over damage (all this from Friday to Saturday) so needed a soundoff minute on something!

Anyway, nice, well thought out responses. Thanks.

I am inclined to agree with you, danaf. We desperately need change, and it looks like Obama may be "it." Everyone else is basically more of the same.

I, too, thank everyone for the civility and respect shown on this board. As far as civility goes, we are doing much better than the GOP and DEM candidates themselves!

BTW Robiv I was a Ron Paul supporter until back a few months ago I realized he was pro things I despise like porn w/o limits and a few other key conservative issues. However, so far, and I may be wrong I like the idea of fair tax. Everyone else is free to draw a conclusion about this. I tend to be more socially conservative than most on this conversation perhaps..lol Fiscally though I like to keep moderate. I am all for reasonable government spending and taxation. Reasonable. However, here in NJ the taxes have become so high under the Democrats nobody can live here anymore. We have a major exodus going on. Then the gov cried we are loosing revenue from the young families who leave. The only thing here 'cheap' is gas. $2.79 a gallon.
I like Huckabee. I think he is a good man. To bad he ran out of money. to me that a good sign though, no big special interests banking on him to cushion thier behinds. Funny how most of my Christian friends support Romney....but to each his or her own. Its a free country, for now. Hopefully forever.

Sorry, neitrher a Romney, McCain, Juliani man, barely a Thompson supporter and that might be because of the Tennessee "native son issue". He's gone so... Definitely not for Obama and Hillary is more of the same, totally unexcited this year. I am not a big Bush guy but don't want to join the fashionable bash. I understand that our wars of late (since Vietnam) are the creations of PR firms and double dealing but I think some of our smaller pre-1900 incursions were the same. Want the 90's back but they are gone...

Well, Edwards is gone and it looks as though Guiliani is saying bye bye too maybe.
My husband is excited, this will be his first election he can vote in. (naturalized one year ago in March)

Wow, you sound like me! Actually I did register to vote, but couldn't due to moving (had something wrong with my address/driver's license or something).

I just honestly think that it doesn't matter what the runners spout because words are just words and there really is no measure to make them keep their word. Perhaps we should have them all lay out what they plan to do, and how, then sign it and if they break the deal, they're out. LOL Put our next president on a month to month contract. At least then, they couldn't take their 5th year in a second term and totally throw us under the bus. (knowing they have another 3 years as president - impeachment is unlikely)

I'm bitter about a lot of crap going on. I also think that no matter which way the vote goes, I'm going to be disappointed.

Ron Paul or John Edwards are probably the most sincere IMO, but I am not sure if they are the most able.

Edwards reminds me of Jimmy Carter in many ways as for sincerity, I am not talking honesty- but someone who really cares about the whole country & not just themselves.

Originally I would have said that our next president would be Democrat. Even though I am a Republican I didn't think my party had any strong enough canidates and that America was ready for a change. So I thought the next president would be a Democrat. However, as the primaries continue I'm not too sure.

Heck I need to do more research, at this point I'm not even sure who I am voting for. All I know is it will not be Clinton. Which is sad because I would love to see a woman president, just not her. She talks a good game but I don't belive a word out of her mouth. I think she is simply power hungry and will say whatever it takes to get into the white house.

Of course I really don't like a single one of the canidites this year. Of course I have such a mixed bag of social belifes that it's hard to find a canidate I like. When I do find one they usually don't make it past the primaries.

I dont see her as power hungry. I see her as taking on one of the biggest challenges a woman could ever take on. Does she tell lies ? yes...but not nearly as many lies as the Bush family!-the Clintons don't even come close to a Bush family selfish power hungry agenda.

will say whatever it takes to get into the white house.
That is what they all do If I were going to vote someone for president because I trust them & believe all they say, then I would be el stupido.

I hate the whole voting system. I cant stand the fact that they force us into this dead beat choose a party crap.
I was talking to some of the people working the booths & we all agreed that the entire voting system need to be changed to give more people opportunity.

This Tuesdays votes has really made a lot of divisions & hate among the people. Voting for who you feel is best should not be like that but we are forced right from the start to choose a party & then everyone you nominate has to be within that party. It is a big joke. I was like the only person there voting & then about ten minutes later two elderly women came in.

People just don't want to vote because of that.

I liked two people from two different parties, but they make so you cannot even vote for the ones you like & we should be able to elect one from each side when nominating.
That would help put an end to so many divisions, hate & hostility in these nominations.
