This is fun: I am in Iowa, and have never taken part in a caucus, and decided to get the day off (Jan 3) for the Dem Caucus. I was chosen as a "team leader!" I've never been involved in "grass roots" politics.

Simple reason :: You got charisma, personality, looks, or good voices/commnication traits that they are looking for to lead.

I want see "Nobody" run. You know the one eyed and now blind guy that Odyseus left on that island. Best candidate in the world, can't find his way in broad daylight, only ghosts left to chase. He can't do any harm.

Billy lead the 90's, the "era of good feeliing", kind of a James Monroe deal. Bring back those days.

I wish the Main Stream Media would give John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich more coverage.
It is almost as if (ha ha) the corporations own the media and the candidates and are shoving
Clinton and Obama down our throats.

I'm almost confident that Obama will be the next president...

Right now our two front runners are Obama and Clinton.........

                Obama:

First black in White House? The supremists will probably not tolerate this....
First Muslum in White House? I'm sure Iran, Iraq, Palastine, and other foreign countries will eat this up......
                Family orientated.......
Odds of serving a full term? Slim... assassination probable......

                Clinton:

First woman in White House? Some men aren't going to go for this. But at least she's a "stand by your man" woman!!!
Able to handle the pressure? Probably, well educated and has knoweldge of White House procedures....
                Family orientated.................
Odds of serving a full term? Debatable....

Other candidates offer little substance to their platforms. They talk big, but can they follow thru? Are they for the people or for own self esteem?

                Just my thoughts,

Wins will come for Hillary during all of these caucauses however, when the run off between her and the Republican candidate comes to pass(the real election), they will do her just as they did Barack....say they will vote for you and then get int he voting booth and vote against her for a republican candidate.

Even though I do not agree with what you wrote, one thing I will say is this, Hillary will have that run off against the male republican candidate and all of this will come to an immediate end. There is no way any of these men in america will allow a black person or a woman to run this country....even though that is unfair, it will never come to pass.

This is the first time in my life I've been interested in the election!...to the point where I've been following everything. Sad but true.

AND this is going to be one hell of a race! It will be good to have another democrat back in office. Which one - who knows? I do know that this time I will definately be voting.

Obama is not a Muslim, he's a Christian. He joined Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago in 1988 and has been a member there ever since.

Minny - assasination would also be probably for Hilary - unfortunately. Out of the 2 (Hilary and Obama) -they will both need some serious details.

I think it will boil down to Mccain/Obama. Who will win? Since McCain is a moderate I'd say McCain. I'd like to see an Edwards/Huckabee standoff. The only two "likable" front runners. For me at least. They seem real, salt of the earth Americans. Like an uncle or something. Personally I find Hillary self obsessed and power mad. McCain is to old. To much like Bush.
I heard a major blunder for Obama on TV. They were interviewing Kenyans about Obama and they were all saying if he gets elected he will pressure him to make it easier for immigrants from Africa to get to the USA. They should have shut thier mouths! 50% of America DOES NOT want to hear about immigrants rights now. They may have sealed his door shut.

I think you aren't giving people (whites) enough credit...I believe Americans (particularly whites) are in fact ready to elect an African American or woman as President. I think this country, and it's people have progressived enough to make this happen. There are "a lot" of minorities and women in high business, and political places nowadays, that they'd have confidence in seeing a minority or woman as President.

Obama clearly stated he isn't a Muslim, and never has been. He also clearly said, that if he were he would say he was. This whole Muslim thing about Obama...is just Republican tatic to ruin Obama's chances of getting elected President, because of all the Anti-Islam, and Islamphobia there is in this country! lol It's truley dispicable to see how low people will go to win this election!!
