Poll: Racial views steer some away from Obama
I was wondering just how long the before media was going to start playing the race card.
They can't except the fact that more Americans are questioning Obama's experience and qualifications so now when he loses in 2 months they will say it's because of race.
I don't doubt that there are those with white hoods on that feel this way but according to the media 1/3rd of white democrats are racists. Interesting
If I was color blind I would still maintain that Mcain is bad and Obama is worse.Last edited by banca rotta; 09-20-2008, 12:40 PM.The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government

If that fool McCain becomes president we should all just kiss our @sses good bye!! I wouldn't surprise me if race in fact plays a role in whether or not a person votes for Obama. I would bet that an ingoramous would rather vote for McCain's poor policies over Obama just because he is white. Racism/discrimination is alive and well, and isn't free from politics. A black or minority president is without a doube some white people's worse nightmare. The information provided is not, and should not be considered legal advice. Anyone who believes men who crave power so greatly as these two men do will do anything of benefit for the ordinary man is fooling themselves. They can't even do the job they were sent to Washington to do, instead they have to spend the vast majority of their time seeking higher office.
Regardless of which is president, your taxes will go up, entitlement programs will start to see the first trimmings back and the economy will get worse. Just a hint the President has little control over these things, it is Congress that does.
Has nothing to do with the color of their skin, their sex etc it has to do with the fact they are both professional politicians and not statesmen.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

With the state of the Union right now...who would want this job? Walk into a HUGE mess left by the former President on all fronts. The learning curve, just to get a grasp on what the White House has done in the last 8 years, is going to take either one of these gents a good two years and by then who knows what will have happened. I am voting Obama but I half wonder if it doesn't matter who sits in the Oval office but rather the team that they assemble to solve these crisises.Filed!!04/23/2008[X] 341 5/27/2008[X]Converted to asset case 5/26/2008 [X]

I have no problem voting for black skin, yellow skin, white skin and skin color makes no difference because I believe there is only one race. I do have a huge problem with voting for someone who went to a racist
church for 20 years and a young dumb self proclaimed loud mouth wife who has made one too many racist remarks about how special her husband is because he/she is black...when people are of no color in my eyes...so from that perspective I would agree that race will make people think twice, including myself.
I do agree that racism is alive & well, people need to be educated, & I like you and others here, do not like it. But! the Obamas did a nice job making us aware of their own layer of skin, like they are something extra special and they aren't.
Besides that, Oba is just as fat of a liar as McCain. Both little boys need a good whippin' for lying.

We've been heading this way since the 70s. It is all the Presidents and Congress's since that time's fault. Worse economic troubles are ahead as well because they have not been truthful with the American people.
The problem is overspending, underfunded entitlement programs, and a lack of honesty on the part of government.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Trust me. No matter who gets in no one has to kiss their @sses goodbye. Every election including and especially Clinton and Bush there are those that have said this and we are all still here.
As soon as I begin to feel this way I remember those that fought the civil war, brother against brother or the depression, ww2, etc. If those poor folks had the internet in those days and found this forum they would have more serious issues then any of us could ever imagine.
I find my previous post interesting where the media states that around 1/3 of you democrats are racists. I don't believe the numbers are that high. Either they are correct and a third of you are or they are wrong and can't be trusted on anything they say.Last edited by banca rotta; 09-28-2008, 01:00 PM.The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government

ACORN, Obama, and the Mortgage Mess
What do they say? "A road paved with good intentions is a road that leads to hell".
ACORN recognized very early the opportunity presented by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977. As Stanley Kurtz has reported, ACORN proudly touted "affirmative action" lending and pressured banks to make subprime loans. Madeline Talbott, a Chicago ACORN leader, boasted of "dragging banks kicking and screaming" into dubious loans. And, as Sol Stern reported in City Journal, ACORN also found a remunerative niche as an "advisor" to banks seeking regulatory approval. "Thus we have J.P. Morgan & Co., the legatee of the man who once symbolized for many all that was supposedly evil about American capitalism, suddenly donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to ACORN." Is this a great country or what? As conservative community activist Robert Woodson put it, "The same corporations that pay ransom to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton pay ransom to ACORN."
ACORN attracted Barack Obama in his youthful community organizing days. Madeline Talbott hired him to train her staff -- the very people who would later descend on Chicago's banks as CRA shakedown artists. The Democratic nominee later funneled money to the group through the Woods Fund, on whose board he sat, and through the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, ditto. Obama was not just sympathetic -- he was an ACORN fellow traveler.
Now you could make the case that before 2008, well-intentioned people were simply unaware of what their agitation on behalf of non-credit-worthy borrowers could lead to. But now? With the whole financial world and possibly the world economy trembling and cracking like a cement building in an earthquake, Democrats continue to try to fund their friends at ACORN? And, unashamed, they then trot out to the TV cameras to declare "the party is over" for Wall Street (Nancy Pelosi)? The party should be over for the Democrats who brought us to this pass. If Obama wins, it means hiring an arsonist to fight a fire. The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government
