During the holiday season I love the chocolate covered cherries and can make myself sick off those things.
Also like "Turtles" and I make turtle brownies (will post the recipe in the holiday food section) that are sinfully good.

I used to get rock candy and now and laters all the time too.
I do remember candy cigarrettes. They were more like a white powdery sugar stick with one end that was colored brown for the filter. I have not seen those in years but I thought they were cool because it made me feel like one of the big people.
Are you thinking about the tootsie rolls? Some of those came in a tube.

I know so many people who love chocolate covered cherries but I can't take those things. Not even one I will throw up. That reminds me of those valentine candy boxes...
LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GONNA GET.
& I bite into every piece just to see what is inside but never eat the whole piece & stick it back in the box, I guess for the next person to see if they want it.
Turtles rock! That was a big seller when selling them in school for fundraiser. There was only about eight in the box but man they were good!

My LOVE for chocolate and sweet is why I have false-teeth today...... Grew up with a piece of bubblegum in my mouth at all times......Minny

"those little carmel candies with cream in the middle are neat to melt away. I forgot what they are called?"
Bull's eyes??? A local Ben Franklin's still has a candy section with buckets of old-time candies and most of the ones mentioned in posts above are usually there, including my Dad's favorites, Bit-a-honey.
These days I am kinder to my teeth and middle with sugar-free Jelly Bellies and Coffee Nips...as good as real ones, but too many tie you to the bathroom for part of the day, so can't overconsume (sugar alcohols are laxative). And get my real dark chocolate fix wrapped around raisins, dried cherries, almonds and cashews, yummm, (healthier fats in nuts as well). I go in on payday to our chocolatier shop and buy a 1/4 pound of each of above to mix and keep in a fancy candy jar for an after dinner treat.August '05 Business failed.
Spring '06 Found this site, thank heavens

Bubble gum really will do a number but hey, we get to blow huge pink bubbles.
I told my dentist to just give me all false teeth & be done with it, instead of doing all this other digging, stabbing, jabbing & poking & drilling. He comes back with a set of them & puts them in my hand & told me hold them the whole time I was in there.
At the end of the appointment he asks, "Are you sure you still want those to carry around in your mouth at all times?"
I just started laughing.

I've had false-teeth for almost 30 years. Wouldn't have my own back if they gave them too me...... I really suffered with my own teeth....... went the fillings, crowns and all.....
But anybody that has good teeth - take care of them.......
I sure do miss my bubblegum though........................Minny

I like Bit-a-honey too. Only thing is you have to suck them slow because one bite into it & the piece will be stuck to my teeth like glue until I dig it out with my finger.
I thought you were gonna say Exlax LOL! I actually think those taste good. It is silly but they do.
