    Why?????

Why do credit reporting agencies still list addresses where you have not resided for years? My Experian report still lists an address from 1985 - 22 years ago, and all the subsequent ones including the one where I have now been since 2002.

Maybe so new potential creditors can see what you do and ask questions to verify things to see if people tell the truth.

Sears does that and I am pretty sure their questions came from reading the credit report, amongst other things. One of the questions was about residency- some, 20 odd years ago. I thought that was kind of odd.

and maybe so they can follow people around to where they move....who knows what lurks shadows of dark halls.

They may remove all those addresss if you send them a copy of your drivers lic. ask them to remove all the old address by updating with your current address, I think a lender mentioned
        to me to do this...
