    Stupid question - sorry, I'm just a guy . . .

I've seen in posts about my DD or my DH or my DW. What the heck does this mean? I'm assuming husband, wife, etc, but what's the "D" for???

Guess I'm not as chat savvy or internet smooth as I thought I was . . .

Thanks, y'all, and just for the record, seeing so many people in the same shape we are in financially is quite reassuring. I tell you, we felt so hopeless, ashamed, and just generally crappy about this whole thing.

Ah - was afraid it was damn husband or the like.

      We filed 6/11/07
      341 meeting 7/27/07
      last day for objections 9/25/07

Not looking forward to any of it. Like all the rest, there's a story, bad planning, and just stupid stuff in how we got here.

Worst part of it, I was a bank manager with 7 years experience. WAS being the key word there. My wife and I made great money out of college, then had four kids within 7 years, wife went part time to help on child care costs, but yet we never really adjusted our lifestyle. Idiots, I guess . . .

Well, you sure aren't the only idiots hanging out here, that's for sure! DH (in my case, dear husband ) and I will put our hands up to be counted in that vote too!

Don't be so hard on yourself. You stopped the downward spiral and did what you have to do for your family so you can return to financial sanity. That's why the bankruptcy law is there. We can't change the past and all the stupid decisions that got some of us here, but we sure can learn from it so we never end up here again. Brighter times are ahead!

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
