    www.forclosure.com .
I hope its okay to post that link? The mods will tell.
I go on there once a week. They list bankruptcy, forclosures, etc. They give you the street, but I do believe you have to pay to get the exact address, about $10 a month.
I'd like to buy a condo too, right downtown in the city when I finally win the mega millions !!! LOL, Maybe on of the gulf of Mexico too. Oh heck, how about Hawaii???? A condo, or better yet a beach house in Maui????
!!!! We can dream right??? Keeps me going....

You can also go down to your local tax office and ask for a list of homes that are up for auction soon for back taxes.

I always see advertisements owing homes with NOTHING down, is this joke! Or buying homes for just PENNIES on the dollar! Those endless real estate adds with peops making boookooo bucks on homes that they only paid a couple hundred dollars for! Thans sell it back at 1000's of dollars in profit. Hmmm, how do they get a hold of such properties ! ? ? ?

Thanks all for your tips. I hit for $2000 at the casino today on my last $20 and had only spun for $1 ! ! ! Using it to pay off some of my taxes I owe from last year, car insurance, KITTEN FOOD and LITTER ! Whenever I come into money I always make sure my kittens are covered and of course I got to buy them some new toys. I swear they are like little kids they always know when they get a new toy! I LOVE them lil' bugers to death! Okay I'm getting off the trail here. Thanks for reading.

I work obviously (cause i've said it a bunch of times), at a large Transit agency. Because we don't get fired or quit i have known many people from the Director on down to cleaners, operators, information folks, etc... I have known the current director personally for over 20 years, we started on the same level around the same time. ALOT of these folks have used either carlton Sheets or a similar program, many used it to buy one home, ALOT to buy bldgs., rentals, etc... 99% of them give positive FeedBack on these programs, though some like me just lack the ambition to pursue it. Most have said it works.

What you have to keep in mind about foreclousures is that sometimes you can buy one that is a real shambles. Most of the time, if people don't have enough money to pay the mortgage, they aren't putting any money into repairs or upkeep on the home.

So due diligence would dictate that you do your homework first.

I took a real estate investing class. It was a good class. Taught you how to look for properties using the newspapers (web was just taking off around that time). How to generate letters to the people that are in foreclosure etc.

Last bit of advice: it takes money to make money.

If you don't have a lot you can loose and not feel bad, then foreclosure might not be for you.

Argh! Our house is showing in that list as a bankruptcy! What does that mean??? We were never given any reaffirmation forms to sign for our house, but did have them listed to reaffirm.... ick!
