    Free Turbo Tax Site

My UPS guy told me instead of paying $125 to my tax guy why don't I get the turbo tax program for $29...well, turns out they have a basic tax program for FREE!!!

so I used it and it worked!

    I think it's turbotax.com

    Anyone try this before?

I use the $20 version every year, so do my parents. We have never had any trouble and like it enough to keep using it.

Yeah I used it last year when I just had a simple return. Can't use it this year since I've made alot of stock trades.

More and more people E-file every year........ it quick, and if you do direct deposit, its even quicker......

Believe me, if you make an error, Uncle Sam will "catch it"..............

Jus make sure you make you a copy also of what you send e-file and keep it on hand for future filings....

I've used Turbo Tax and Tax Cut both...........good programs.....

Don't trust the USPS. Its riskier than online. My 1999 return was destroyed in the mail and I got it back 6 weeks later in an envelope full of torn up little pieces with a fortune cookie size note that read "Sorry for the inconvenience. United States Postal Service."

The little pieces of paper also had footprints all over them. Makes me wonder how long the employees walked all over my destroyed mail before deciding to pick it up.

BTW I used Turbo tax and got a full year of credit monitoring for free with the service. Not a bad deal!
Ive used them for years and my returns have been much higher than with H&R block. I love the deduction finder tools. My return (e-file) in ten days!!

can I still efile it if I mailed it?

No...then you'll be submitting duplicate returns to the IRS, which will most likely confuse them.
