    Press Conference

Well, I went to a big press conference on Saturday.
    T. Denny Sanford, the owner of First Premier Bank, and founder of Premier Bank Card donated 400 million dollars to the local hospital and health system.

As a major focus of this donation will be research, it looks like I will have my job for a very long time to come. We just lost a large grant and while my job was never in danger, it was going to be tight. This sure gives me some job security.

Can you imagine having enough money that you could donate 400million dollars? I'd say the credit card business is as strong as ever.

    Wow.

He said part of the reason for the donation was to thank SD for the tax and legal system that allows him to make so much money. SD has no usury laws. It looks like someone gets to benefit from 35% interest.

Nevertheless it is a very generous and thoughtful donation. T. Denny Sanford evidently has a huge soft spot for kids. He wants a major focus of the hospitals expansion to be children’s hospitals.

The hospital of course changed their name to Sanford Health.

Great news to hear "when someone GIVES BACK" to the community......
and in such a large amount also.
Good tax write-off for him also.......federally speaking of course......

If more of the wealthy, (and many - STARS - we have made wealthy) would do the same thing, its amazing the research that could be done and accomplished.

If everyone just gave a little of their selves in time or money, the world would be a better place....

The poor DO NOT WANT A HAND-OUT - but often they can just use a "helping hand" along the way.....

Now "research" is the key to many things in our lives.......

"It's amazing the paths that our feet sometimes follow in life".

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
