Anyone heard of Marketing Associates?

I have been trying to find a job that I could work from home to supplement my income. I came across a job on craigslist and was hoping you guys could give me some info on them. I searched to find anything I could about them but havent been able to find much. Here is their web address:

The way the email read to me was that I would post free advertisements and then would get paid for processing responses from those advertisements.

I was wondering though where I post the advertisements at. I have sent another email to them asking but havent received anything as of yet. They will send me a downloadable training kit once I have paid 12.95 via paypal. Does that offer any guarantee as far as if this company is a rip-off or anything? Also, I dont want to spam people and am hoping that I am not supposed to email people with the advertisements.

Anyway, if you have any information on this company please share with me. Thanks so much.

Generally, any position that requires you to pay to get the information is not worth it, and it is better than 50/50 that it is a scam.

Well, at least its just 12.95....I wouldn't pay much more than that just to get info. Most at home job thingys are scams, so beware.

Any type of "work from home" deal....

....that asks you to pay any $, is not right.

There are odds in that business....it's a numbers game. My bf used to work for Talk America, in Maine....and that company sells everything...they had certain percentages of calls they had to make in order to get 1/2 the people to listen & another 1/4 to buy....i.e. if you knocked on 100 doors you might get 1/2 them to open & 1/4 to listen & 1/4 of that other half to buy what you're offering.....all odds & price of object is adjusted with those odds...


You'd be better off doing side jobs like mowing lawns, painting, cleaning...something that you "reap" all the benefits from.

ill have to agree with HHM bet it is a scam, and you got to believe THATS how companys like THAT, MAKE MONEY, think of how many people send in 12.95, and times that by lets say 100. they just made 1295.00 just from people like you - us, with the mind set its only "12.95," not only do they have your cc info, but your home addy, phone numbers etc. BE CAREFUL !

Thanks guys. I have decided not to do this. To be honest I was leaning that way before I even posted, something just didnt seem right.

Catchme, you said that they would have my acct info and etc. They have you pay through paypal. That is actually what starting me thinging that maybe this was legit. I thought that Paypal was secure. That the receiver didnt get the actt info etc. I have bought off of ebay through paypal but if what you say is accurate then I wont be doing that anymore. I am hoping that maybe you didnt catch the paypal part.
