    Good news for a change!

I have a new job!!! I start December 1, 2006, as the Development Director for a non-profit organization. It will be a huge responsibility, but I am up to the challenge. After this year I think I can handle just about anything. It is more money, but of course I'll never be rich (not that I care to be!)

One of my concerns is that I will have to purchase a few new clothes for the job and of course, being in a Chapter 13, am on a very strict budget. Needless to say I am being extremely careful and prudent in my selections, trying to stretch everything. (Speaking of stretching, hopefully I can lose these last 15 lbs. so some of my other clothes won't have to stretch so much--LOL)

Thanks to all of you who have encouraged me to keep my chin up and keep the faith. I am very thankful for this opportunity.

    Congratulations!

TJ Maxx and Marshalls are good places to shop for work clothes as well as the sale racks at the major department stores...I got a great pair of khaki calvin Klein slacks for 9.99 marked down from 89.....when I was last out checking the sales racks....Good luck! and think tuna fish and raisens! It's working for me....

            Jane,

Congrats on the new job. A great place to shop is Steinmart. They are off price but have great looks. You can get nice pieces for 20-30 dollars.

wonderful news Jane. Hopefully with the better pay you won't have to be so tight during your 13 and you can have a little extra money here and there.

Thank you all for your kind words and good wishes. They mean so much to me. Hopefully we will be a little more comfortable during the Chapter 13, but the main thing for us will be to be wise stewards of our resources. I did order a couple of pieces of clothing which will stretch my existing wardrobe. I think I can make do nicely with what I have. All I need now is a purse. Unlike a lot of women I know, I hate to buy purses!

My husband and I had dinner with my new boss last night at THE fanciest, most exclusive private club in the state. Although I have been there before I still feel a bit out of place. We had a lovely time and I did remember which utensils to use They are a very powerful family, but also down to earth and kind.

                      CONGRATS...................
Good things come to those that "wait".......
Sounds like things are "looking up at your house"....
Now when you get out of Chapter 13 maybe your life will be a lot better and much blessed.
