Free cat to anyone's home but mine!

We have to get rid of one of our cats.

She has suddenly started peeing on all of my clothes, shoes, and anything that we don't put up and out of her reach, and I want her out of my house immediately.

I have hated this cat since we brought her home, and it's time she goes elsewhere.

I am extremely p'oed about this.

I had a cat that did the same thing.....turned out she had a bladder/kidney infection....
The reason that she is peeing on everything is because she is trying to tell you something is wrong with her~ and she knows that you'll see what she did and do something about it by peeing where you will most definately see it.....

I understand how frustrated that you are about this, but I think if you take her in to the vet....you'll see she most likely has a bladder/kidney infection...
and if it turns out that she doesn't....the vet will be able to find her a home.....
Just thought I might try and help~

It sounds JUST like an infection....since it is NOT a male cat!. My parent's cat did that when I was younger. Also my cousin cat did that but he was a fixed male..so she took it to the vet, and it was an infection.
Your local vet/shelter should be able to take/help if you absolutely want to get rid of her.
      Good luck

I've wanted to get rid of her since we brought her into our house.
She is nasty to the other cats, spraying them whenever she gets a chance, and now this too....

She is a very unhappy animal in our household, so I think it's time to get rid of her period.

However, it does sound like she's having issues, so I will make sure my husband gets her fuzzy butt to the vet.

          Tin,
Having had a cat for 24 years before my dogs, YES, she has kidney/bladder infection and is in pain..... This is their way of "telling" you - I'm sick.....
You said this is a female???? Females don't "spray" - un-neutered males do..

This baby definetely needs to go to the vets......

Best place to find a home is thru your vet, or a friend..... you want the baby to have a good home. Try asking folks at work, etc....

Well she's not my problem anymore. I told my husband she has to go. I have hated this cat since he brought her home. He is supposed to be taking her to the vet, and then finding a home for her. He has until the end of the week, or I am dropping her off at the nearest Chinese restaraunt!

JK, but she will be gone by the end of the week. This is the most awful animal I have ever seen in my life.... seriously.

If the cat is really sick, then it's not its fault for acting that way. If it really is just an awful pet, then why would you want to pawn it off on some unsuspecting animal lover? Maybe just take it to the humane society and have it put down. I love animals and would hate to see this happen, but I'd also hate to have someone else get the cat, realize it has serious behavior problems, possibly cause damage to property or people, and then get given up again. I sounds like a sad situation overall. I hope its just sick and will get better with treatment.

                Ultimately, she hates other animals.

We had three other animals before we took her in on what was supposed to be a VERY temporary basis. It's been almost a year now, and her hissing, and screaming, and beating the other animals up has gone on for too long.

She is a very nice cat when she's by herself, she just hates other animals, and I can't stand to see other members of my "family" mistreated.

There's nothing about being sick that has anything to do with just hating other animals, because she's not top dog.... this just has to do with her discontent with not being #1.....

You mentioned that "he" brought him home. By that I assume you mean your husband. How does he feel about you having a temper tantrum and demanding that he get rid of his cat? I guess I don't even know if it's his since you said it was temporary but does he share your hatred for this pet also? No disrespect but I hope for the cats sake that your husband does find him a good home.

                    Spca

SPCA are good people but it might be hard for them to try to get an older cat adopted .. we took in a stray tabby with her newborn kittens, the kittens for unknown reasons got use to peeing on my comforter ! what a pain in the butt, but eventually the spca took the kittens and im stuck with the mother. but she is an ok cat .. i dont like her personally, and she is not the one in my picture (THAT CAT is MY CAT "HOBBES,"). Call the SPCA see if they can help you, there are not likely to put the animal down like some animal shelters!

                    GOOD LUCK, CATCHMEIFYOUCAN

He is perfectly fine with it now that I have laid down the law about this animal. Let's get one thing clear. I love animals. This animal would be perfect if she were the only animal in our home. However, she is not, and she beats up the other animals, and screams and hisses 24 hours a day because they happen to walk two feet in front of her. I don't like my dog having scratches all over her nose and in her eyes because she happened to be playing and got too close to the cat. I don't like having my clothes and items peed on either.

I hope that for MY sake, and for the sake of my family that my husband finds this cat a good home. The cat has been treated wonderfully since she came to be a guest, and she has abused that treatment as far as I am concerned.

                        Thanks for the info!

She's not that old though. She's MAYBE two, if that.

I'll give them a call today. I don't like seeing animals put to sleep if I don't have to have it done.
