    End of 5 years

Hello, I am at the end of a 5 year chapter 13, should I contact my lawyer and ask when the case will be closed out or will they contact me. I just made what I think should be my last payment. Should I contact the trustee. Thank you

Definitely start chatting with your attorney to make sure you have a smooth transition. This is especially important if you have a wage deduction order in place and/or are paying a mortgage through the trustee (inside the plan). You generally cannot directly contact the trustee as they will refer you back to your attorney since you are represented.
