Discharged ion 7/29/24., Looking forward to hearing the stories. I am afraid I burned all the good cards (Amex, Chase, Citi, Barclays...etc.). Cap one immediately forgave, maybe because I continually had a checking and savings with them even though I burned them (1.6K, very low about to my 336K that was discharged.). Also, I was extremely lucky getting 2015 taxes fully written off about 3 weeks after the July date: 40-->84K-->zero! Miracles happen!

Thank you. It's going to be a lot longer haul than I expected. I was looking at Credit Karma and Experience MyFICO but they are Vantage 3.0 scores, and I thought 2 of my 3 scores were in the low 700's. Indeed, the FICO 8 scores on the Experian 3 score monthly reports are FICO 8 scores and all around 620. Dang!

Trust me, you aren't the only one who got hoodwinked by Vantage; I did too. Back then my FICO 8 scores were between 600 and 615 and my Vantage scores were 695-720. My scores have since recovered and would you believe it, my FICO 8 scores are 20 points higher than my Vantage scores; go figure.

Gosh. Yes, I can believe it. And thank you so much for the response. However, it does seem like the FICO 8 scores are very slow to recover. I will certainly not do any more hard pulls until they are over 700 or probably 720. I had the best card (I like to do travel and points/miles; my mother liked crossword puzzles), but I burned the good ones (Chase, Amex, and Citi, in that order.). I also burned Barclays (AAdvantage), but I hear they never forgive, as opposed to Amex which may take decade(s) and Chase (possible). Vantage X is now my aspirational card, oh how the mighty have fallen!
