JT, IMHO, and please don't take this the wrong way, but you should NEVER BE SECOND CHOICE! You should be the company's ONE AND ONLY CHOICE.......NO QUESTIONS. You shouldn't have it any other way. You are way better than second place.

There's a reason you did not get that job. Maybe it was the internal politics that guy mentioned. Whatever, you're better off without it.

Y'all are right! I should be their only choice! I am very good at what I do. While I could tell the Clinical Director was frustrated and I'm glad to know that he did want to hire me, I DON'T want to work with that Business Manager. I know her, too, and am disappointed in how she handled the situation. She stammered and stuttered when I talked with her last week.

I called about another position that I'd applied for and the lady there hasn't even started interviewing. Although the pay isn't great with this position, the retirement benefits are outstanding and I'm not getting any younger

Anon, I know I'm getting old because I am sounding like my mother more and more everyday and it is depressing! It seems as if all I say to my kids is "Do your chores, get off the phone, turn down your music, and "No!"

I need to make a recording so I don't waste my breath, get laryngitis, or develop nodes on my vocal cords from screaming

I know i'm getting old too because every "young lady" I see nowdays have soooooo much skin showing! And, was out shopping with my mom one day about a year ago and I wanted to go into "Express" to check out some jeans and my mom said "honey, your 33, you can't shop these teeny bopper stores anymore". I was bummed.

No, that's not about getting old---nowadays most young ladies do have too much skin showing!!! I don't even want to take me niece (5) to the mall for fear of her getting too many ideas.
