Banks Are Off the Hook Again

keepswimming - I have posted my story on another thread. the blase lawyer mentioned above is the bank foreclosure lawyer who helped run the scam to steal a project worth $30 million+ for less than $4 million, apparently by using her power as foreclosure lawyer for a big bank that was sold to another big bank in a US Treasury-brokered deal. That deal allowed the purchasing bank to foist the liabilities of the lawyer's bank onto the FDIC, so that, while we could have won a major lawsuit against the big bank, we could never collect the damages, according to a big law attorney who had, at first, said he would take the case on contingency. The estimate to sue that bank was $500,000-$1,000,000, with no likely return even after we won. The whole apparent scheme seems to be to manufacture false allegations as a ruse to foreclose "at will," buy up notes backed by very valuable real estate through holding companies with ties to multiple bank officers for pennies on the dollar, and use verbal fraud and verbal threats to bankrupt or otherwise financially ruin the original owners and their contractors. Obviously, having advance notice of the manipulations that led to the sale of the bank, and the legal knowledge and legal protection as lawyers from being forced to document or to surrender documentation of their manipulations to any court gave them the necessary cover up of the scheme. As William K Black says, these banks acted criminally, but those of us who had a case were at a major disadvantage, particularly after being bankrupted, our lawyers threatened, and judges that they own used.

I know! So crazy! Such a mess. But if we don't TRY, then what? I know they have us where they have wanted us, but seriously, how much more of this can we AFFORD???? Obviously, we are all broke, and there is only so much more we could be expected to foot the bill for. THERE IS NO MORE MONEY IN THE MIDDLE CLASS LEFT TO TAKE. So much corruption, so little time. But if we do nothing, then what?

Exactly! The crooked lawyers and bankers have the ultimate power to bankrupt us so that we can't afford to sue, the control of the courts, and all the time in the world to destroy us one-by-one, including destroying any ethical lawyer or public official that tries to take them on. Bill Black calls them criminal, but do you think he will really go up against any of them? They have all learned how to destroy whistleblowers.

It is all just so very sick. I literally have nightmares about these crooks several times a week. It is unbelievable how much their actions have creeped in and taken over so many aspects of our lives. Our lives have been changed for the worse---the rug pulled out from under us, yet they walk away scott free...taking the very rug with them. And kicking us while we are down. Slamming us from every angle. As Elizabeth Warren says the middle class is literally under attack. We cannot take much more. Period.

Everyone - have you all noticed how in the last 20-30 years or so we've become "consumer" not citizens, even customers, but CONSUMERS? And how the entire culture has accepted the almighty FICO score as an indicator of your self-worth? Interestingly, countries that are slave to the almighty credit report are the ones not doing well...

keepswimming: i think the intent of the "tea" party was a stone casted for a grass roots group, however, i'm not that happy with them either frankly. we need to bring back the late 60's and get out there in the streets and sing songs...LOL!!! or start the "coffee" party...or something that REALLY stands for how exactly fed up so many are.
