I'm sorry that you haven't read my post thoroughly. I suggested a "temporary" freeze. Someone else will need to define temporary, but in organizations that have had issues with control and policy, the temporary freeze is usually measured in months and certainly less than 12 months. (Think about how the mortgage companies sgtopping foreclosures for a few months (3-4) to fix their paperwork issues.)
That is not insurmountable. I think the problem is that too many people just want to argue the politics of the ACORN organization, rather than just fix the issue.
I don't like smear campaigns and like to take objective data and form my own opinion. If that happens to reflect the opinions of over-opinionated and highly political media outlets, then so be it. Neither my points nor opinion change. I feel that this was something that could have been fixed, but ACORN chose to fight the media rather than address the root-cause of the problem.
