    I won't believe number 3 until I see it.
By the time you see it it will be too late to do anything about it.

If we have factories that make things for all the world to buy and a govt that balances it's budget then it won't pop.

As we all know neither of these things are likely to happen anytime soon since the US economy is flawed by design. We all get into debt to buy things we probably don't need. That's our economy and politicians will not help us restore a productive economy of savers.
The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government

We gave up the house just for these reasons. I feel we are paying for something that use to be an investment but is not now nor will it be for decades. While we suffer, the wealthy got their money and hid it, and then came back for more tax bailout money. In the end I do not want to be holding the bag for paying for a house if hubby never finds a job. If one thing goes wrong we could never afford to fix it. That would mean paying for another year maybe and then losing it? What for? I can rent cheaper, or live in a camper if I have too.
