    Jewerly or other things?

Has anyone had an item from a jewelry store repoed &/or settled? If so, how did it go?

Has anyone had something else besides a car or house taken from them?

It is usually rare for jewelry to be repo-ed, the mark up is so high. However, if you can settle for the WHOLE debt for the swap back, do so. Otherwise hold it and see. You may have to give it back, but unlikely. If you are represented, ask your lawyer of course.

We were an asset case and were given the opportunity to purchase our stuff back and a very fair price, or the Trustee would have auctioned it some way. We are pleased.
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

When you were given a price, did they give you a reasonable payment plan or do you need to give them everything up front?

Yes the Trustee was kind. He rounded down to the nearest thousand, it was $5000, 12 equal payments of $450, no interest. However, my bk was not discharged until that was paid. I did not care about that as it kept my stay going for that time and I was hovering in a tolled lawsuit with an enemy who caused much of the bk through milking me with multiple harassing suits, never to take anything to trial. The suit after 7 years of hell, was finally dismissed for non prosecution. So all ended well. Check my time frame in my signature. 'Hub
