Americredit called again today while I was out and forgot to take my cell phone with me. They didn't leave a message. I suppose they are now calling about Melinda's deficiency on her probably repossessed and probably sold-by-now truck. Anybody want to wager?

But maybe he was known as Melinda, before the surgery? Extreme lengths to keep a truck from being repo'ed though... Sex+Name change & I suppose he probably painted the truck so its no longer blue?

Americredit is still calling me, usually once per day between 6 and 7 p.m. The crazy thing is, every single time they call, I don't have the phone with me. I just don't be thinking about Americredit calling at that time of the day! Either out with the dogs and left it in the truck, or left it in the closet... I am sure I am short changing myself from having a TON of fun. Darn it.
So anyway, they normally call first from an unknown number which I have blocked...they get a recording to that effect... I could still answer it if I wanted to, but they don't get an option to leave a voice mail. And then they try to call back immediately with the unblocked number, which goes to the recording that says "... the number you have dialed has been changed, disconnected or is no longer in service..."... after which they could leave a voicemail, but gee... they don't. But that doesn't stop them from calling me! I don't get it.
Three times, instead of the blocked number, they called me from Arturo Ramirez's house in Annaheim, CA. That one caught me off guard so it went to regular voicemail, although, of course, there was no message. And the usual immediate call back from Americredit's number.
I guess if I really want to have some fun, I am going to have to try to remember to keep the phone with me after 5 p.m.

Do you think anyone is messing with you? Maybe giving your # and fake names as personal references on Americredit applications?

I already gave my friend a heads up to check out that possibility, by the way.
As to the Melinda episode, it was very short lived, and I think somebody simply erred in some paperwork or data entry, maybe transposed numbers or something.
I think the two events are unrelated and coincidental.
