Oh ,I know that "investigator" was full of it,but wanted to make sure.
and I am so glad that we are done with it.we had no plan on hiding the car, they just needed to come and get it.
now I don't have to pay the insurance, but when I called my insurance, they would not cancel it unless we sent a signed paper.we could not do it over the phone.they would reimbursed any left over on teh premium from the day they receive that paper.

In some States an investigator has to be liscensed. In my State, they are required to be liscensed. If they say they are and they aren't, they are in big trouble.

I knew that darn show was fake! Made my wife livid even b4 we stopped paying creditors and filed ch7. It did taint my impression of what would happen when I quit making payments. They sent a letter saying they intend to take it on 2/12, we filed on 2/11. Now I am waiting to give it to them and I get the impression from many that they wont be in a hurry now that I don't want it and they can't recoup a dj. CRAZY crazy business. But you mentioned earlier in this thread that their are rules for surrendering a car in a ch7? Where can I read more about that?

The particular bankruptcy code for secured assets is 11 USC 521(a)(2)
