I have a relative that does repos in the field. Just as an FYI, and I am not saying to hide a car or do anything untowards, but FL is a "peaceful" reposession state. If you need to make it to work that day AND you are present when they attempt a reposession you can demand they put the car down or stop the repossession while they are on your property (county/city easement doesn't count, nor does the road in front of your house) and they have to stop.
However some Sheriffs dept and local PD do not realize or do not care regarding this so YMMV depending if they call a LEO out. If I had known that a long time ago I would have made them put my car down. Long story short I was laid off for a couple of months and the morning I was starting a new job they repo'd my car, if I had made it to work that day I might have been able to keep it. Just a thought if you're in FL and in that type of situation. AFAIK its only good on your own property. I do know he has been forced by LEO to leave when the reposessee refuses to hand over the car about 60% of the time, even once he has it in the air with the stinger.
Just remember once they have your car ON THE ROAD its theirs so they will get it on the stinger AND on the road as fast as possible.
