there is a possibilty I could inherit some money in the future,am wondering when the 6 month window is where I would not have to declare it. I filed bk april 8 th had the hearing may 8 is it 6 months from april 8 or may 8 or does it play into after the 60 days had passed from may 8 so it would be 8 months?

It is 6 months from date of fling BK.

The event that triggers your duty to report is the Death of the individual. So, if someone died either prior to you filing BK or within 6 months after you filed BK, and you would stand to inherit something, that inheritance becomes part of the BK (baring some sort of exemption). The time when you would actually receive the money is irrelevant. So, if aunt Emily died the day after your filed BK, and her Will is tied up in probate for 3 years, and only after that 3 years do you find out you are to receive $50K, you would still be duty bound to report that event; because the death of aunt Emily is what gave rise to the inheritance.
