You actually should carry it into the courthouse yourself. That way you KNOW it got there, and you won't have to wait on your case number. The clerk of the BK Court will go through your paperwork and put it in the proper order, if it isn't. And you will be told at that time if there is anything else you need to do. You may also be told who your trustee will be.
Our courthouse is also 60 miles away from where we live, and had we been doing this ourselves, we also would have carried it into the courthouse. (We also actually drove there a couple of times to personally look at the paperwork, to see what was new--at a charge--before we learned about PACER>)
