OMG Wong SSN!

As easy as my Chap 7 should be I still found a way to screw it up. Surprise surprise im pro se. I went in today to pay my 2nd installment and they could not pull me up by my SSN. Long story short, my form cover has the wrong ssn. 1 digit is wrong. I was told I need to file my amendment. The 341 is fast approaching. Tell me what the implications of this are.

More fundamental, you need to amend. One of the main functions of the trustee at the 341 meeting is to verify your ID, so the SSN on your petition must match the proof of SSN you provide at the 341 meeting. If not, the trustee can/will simply dismiss your case (although a more leniant one will give you a week or 2 to amend).

Just get it done, sorry.

I am going to amend first thing in the morning. I am just glad I didnt get to the 341 which is next week and they not have my right info! On the cover letter to ammend it asks how I'm going to notify creditors of the ammendment. Is it ok to put "direct mail" as my response. I do not have to do certified letter for each do I?

US Post should be fine, you do not need to send it certified.

Hello, I merged your two threads, and removed the duplicate post. Please only create one thread to a subject in one area. When there are more than one thread on the same subject on different Boards, it becomes very difficult and confusing for the members to follow and respond and keep it straight as to which thread was responded to.
