I have a PACER account and have successfully viewed my case docket. Is there some way to have the system send me an email message when my DOCKET TEXT is changed?

No. However, you can go to the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) to sign up for electronic bankruptcy notification. Then, any papers that are "served" on you, will also come to you electronically. Other than that, a pro se debtor should be checking PACER often for updates. However, you don't need to look at the entire docket to see a change. You can just look at the "Date of last filing" on the screen after you pull up your case. This will not incur any charges. If that date hasn't moved, then nothing has happened on the docket.
