Does Codebtor Need to File Jointly With Me?

I had a joint bank account charged off awhile ago and I'm including it in Schedule F.

    1) Will he need to be present at my hearing?

    2) Does he have to be a joint filer on my petition?

    3) Will it take the debt entirely away should it be discharged or will it just remove my responsibility?

He doesn't need to be present, nor does he need to be a joint filer on your petition. Your obligation to the debt will be discharged in bankruptcy, but your co-debtor will still be 100% responsible for the debt.
Filed pro se, made it through the 341, discharged, Closed!!!

I'm not an attorney, but based on the paperwork I filed, you just need to list him as a codebtor. I filed without my wife, and she was a codebtor. She didn't attend the hearing, and her name was never brought up.

Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......
