Collection Agencies not listed only Original Creditors

So I read that it doesn't matter whether the Collection Agencies are listed or not as long as the Original Creditor is...Is that still right?

I dont know which Collection Agencies have what...I only have a stack of OC info.

It is helpful to get a current credit report as that may list the collection agencies or the agency that purchased the debt (junk debt buyer). If you don't know of any collection agency, just list the original creditor. Try to be thorough, and that's why I suggest obtaining a credit report.

I would pull all three credit reports and include each and every every OC, CA and JDB listed. Use the correspondence addresses on the reports. This helps ensure, but cannot guarantee, minimal surprises later.

Make certain that the original creditor is listed, and list every collection agency you can find documentation of as "for informational purposes".

While you do not have to list the multiple collection agencies that are sometimes listed for a single debt do yourself a big favor and list them all, once you are discharged and cleaning your credit report your work will be minimal.

Today was my day for cleaning experian and I have nothing to do since all ankle biters were listed and notified.
