    Filed pro se

Mailed in my ch 7 papers and they were filed as no-asset. My meeting is Nov 1st. Hope I didn't make any mistakes and all goes well! I didn't have the simplest case in the world, and was nervous going pro se but had no choice. I registered for pacer but can't find my case yet.

Congrats. If you mailed in your paperwork, it should take about a week or so to show up on PACER, as it needs to be scanned, etc.
      Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10

I just found my case on pacer. I had one number wrong... It is filed no asset but under the "flags" section it lists DeptEd (we have student loans-makes sense) and it also says MEANSNO. Don't know what that is.

It should say under flags "DebtEd" meaning you have not completed your post-filing debtor education (financial management) course. Means no is no presumption of abuse, or in layman's terms, you passed the means test. This latter can change if upon human review (trustee or UST) file a presumption of abuse, but, so far so good.

It should also say Asset=No, correct?

Correct, it says Asset=No, meaning it was filed as a no asset case. I think I have 45 days to complete and file the debtor ed course? I think I will try and get that done next week to get it filed and over with.

Not sure how it works in TX. I know some people do not do it until after the 341 as you have up to 45 days from the 341 to complete it. My attorney advised me to just get it out of the way, which means I did mine 3 weeks after filing and of course pre-341.

Congratulations and I hope it goes smoothly for you!
Your 341 will be here before you know it and then the
days after fly by pretty fast. I am in tx and I took my
time with the post filing course. Not on purpose, just
time went faster than I expected and I filed close to
the end of 45 days. Btw I used beadvisor which was
the cheapest at 11 dollars for both hubby and I.
Please doublecheck with your area, I am in the
southrn district and was fine using that merchant. I
received the certificates via email almost instantly.
Let us know how your case progresses, good luck!
