    Statement of Intention

I have one car that I am "retaining and paying" and another which I am surrendering, on my statement of intention how do I mark each property "claimed as exempt" or "not claimed as exempt"? I claimed both of the cars on my schedule C as exempt so my thought is to do the same on the S.O.I.
    Thanks

Yes, you can do that (mark exempt.)

I believe you still have to mark "reaffirm." I intend to ride through, but I marked "reaffirm."

Retain and pay is no longer an "official" option. You check reaffirm, but to retain and pay, just never sign a reaffirmation agreement.

I have a PDF of notes from Trustee's and on the Statement of Intention they noted that the Retain and Pay option is no longer available and the debtor must surrender, reaffirm, or redeem.

So by doing this you are stating when you file you intend to reaffirm, but you never do. You just keep paying on time to keep the car (if the lender allows.)
I may be smarter than an attorney, but I'm not one. No legal advice here, people.
