Question on pay stubs to trustee

The letter of the court does not clearly specify whether the pay stubs to be sent should be the originals or the copies. Naturally, I'd prefer to send copies of my unemployment insurance payments so I can retain the originals.

    Is this typically copies?

    Thanks in advance.

I am confident they can be copies. We did copies, and in fact, we got a ledger statement of the payroll from HR instead of just pay stubs.

I shred a lot and those kind of things go away. But you can get payroll copies as well as a ledger copy of unemployment. 'Hub

      Copies, definitely, yes.

They should be copies. These items are scanned into the system and then the "originals" (copy or not) is destroyed! Do not send originals. The only time originals of "documents" are used is when presented as evidence in a Trial or Evidentiary Hearing.

Thanks everyone for your response. I'll get these off in the mail next week. My trustee wants the following so far and my notice of 341 seems to add nothing else so except for my address error on the creditor matrix (already being corrected) things seem to be on track.

          I have only to send:

The past 60 days of pay stubs, for me this is 60 days of unemployment
My most recent Federal income tax return
Statements for each of my financial accounts for the time period that includes the date of filing

Just these under cover of a declaration. I think I can get these out before mid-week and then look forward to the 341, to the extent that one "looks forward" to a 341 (the words "anticipatory dread" come to mind :] ) so long as no other credit notifications are returned to me in the mail.

The 341 is a really breeze, so long as you do your best to be honest and truthful. No need to dread it, really! No reason at all.

My 341 for the 13 was, but one never knows what the future will bring.

So, does this refer to your BANK ACCT STATEMENTS? or is does this reference something else? Thanks

The statement demand refers to bank, brokerage and other financial accounts. The text specifically describes these as:

"Statements for each of your checking, savings and investment accounts, including money market accounts, mutual funds and brokerage accounts for the time period that includes the date of the filing of the petition."

These weren't late, however, though I went ahead and sent everything together. It seems that only the pay stubs are due 14 days after filing. There's more time for the other materials, which was what ended up causing a problem for me -- the way the demand was written did not include the listing of all document deadlines in one place at the top of the document.
