Should my schedule B & C reflect my check I'll receive shortly, so I can exempt them?......or does the exact amounts not necessarily matter?

If you're asking Cash on Hand, and Checking and Savings, that should be the exact amount in your account on the day you file. Most try to keep it low as many Trustees will take it if it's not exempted on Schedule C.
If you're in California, you have an awesome wildcard exemption under System 2 that should cover most things. If you live in Florida, and are keeping your home, it's tough to exempt much of anything!Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
