    With regards to the time to object, there are tons of case law out there sayes a court may disallow a claim for cause at any time upon a valid request.

    So let me see if I understand, you scheduled the IRS in your plan for $2500, the plan was confirmed, IRS never filed a claim and the Trustee is not going to pay the item in your plan, because there is not a valid timely filed claim. It does seem that you will receive a discharge of the IRS debt and any attempt to collect or trick you into paying would be a violation, good luck be sure to serve them properly.
