I am wondering what is worse, the time from filing to the 341 meeting or the 60 days after the meeting.....
We(husband and I) filed on 6/9.....While the clerk was reviewing the forms my legs were like jelly I was soooo nervous....dh was like nothing....I prepared all the papers and was sure (still am) something was amiss....but everything at the time of filing was ok...silly me I even had extra papers ....a form 16B (caption) in front of every schedule LOL...she didn't need those and threw them away.....ok I even asked if the matrix was ok and she said yes...so now I wait......
Hubby is working alot of OT right now .. couldn't that work against us.....? In schedule I, I DID include OT for him but he is working more than that now since the opportunity is presenting now and he was told after 7/5 they would reduce OT for the remainder of the year.....oh well if they ask anything some of the extra ot is going for dental needs and some even to pay the remainder of the filing fee (I paid 99.00 and the 200.00 remainder in less than 30 days)
oh, I want to thank you all for all your advice, I have been reading the boards and educating myself, let me tell you, filing pro se is not for the faint of heart LOL, actually I got the idea from this forum......I was looking for attorneys and found those sites that prepare the papers for like 150-200 dollars and thought wow that is better than an attorney....and then somehow I came to this site and found the pro se thread and thought...hmmm could that be possible? I can't believe I did it...countless hours of researching, reading wow and now is done....
We filed a chapter 7 under median by alot, have a home and car exempt under the Federal exemptions (house equity is only 3K) and car is around 6K equity but had plenty of exemptions to cover it since the car exemption was not enough...anyway reaffirming all....we'll see how that goes....
Wish us luck!!! I am not doing pacer beause I already am obsessive compulsive and don't need extra stress....may give a call to the trustee in a couple of weeks maybe and ask if everything is ok...or is that a no-no?
Ok, if this post seems kind of crazy sorry I am nervous....the worst part is waiting and wondering if they will question this or that or whatever else?
UGH!!!
Waiting nervously in Houston.
