I live with my boyfriend-we have been together for a dozen years--and while the mortgage is in both of our names, the utilities are mostly in mine. We split everything, but our finances are fairly separate. He just pays me at the end of the month to cover his share. Now, do I list the entire mortgage balance and 100% of the bills, or just my half? When I originally talked with an attorney (who I cannot afford to hire), she said that the trustee/bk court would want to know about his income--even though he is not a part of my filing--since we do split things. She said they are interested in "heads on beds". I am unsure as to how to proceed on this.
Oh, and he does pay me back for one of the car payments. We bought the thing last fall during the Cash for Clunkers dealio, and because the truck we traded in was in my name, the new car had to be in my name as well. But he is almost the exclusive driver of the car so he pays for it--although again, I pay it up front and he pays me back at the end of the month. I guess I have to list it as a debt since it is in my name, right
Thanks again to everyone here for all of their help. I do not know what I would do without it.
