    Amending 5 things, question.

    I have a serious question.

If I amend 3 schedules and 2 forms, will they get upset that I amended so many times and dismiss the case? It's just small detail. I had heard that you can amend everything, and lawyers do it all the time also.

Does anyone know? I'm looking for someone who may have done this. It's the very beginning of my case, and my court acted like it was nothing to amend 2 forms as I asked them for the procedure and it was very simple.

The more you amend, it could show a pattern that your petition was frivolously filed. Yes, just about everyone amends their schedules at least once and maybe twice. Sometimes, this is on the behest of the Trustee and sometimes to make minor corrections.

You just don't want to be amended all the time. There is a point where it becomes suspicious. Please don't ask me at what point that is. I have amended my entire petition once, and my schedules several times. However, that was over the course of almost 2 years and through 19 months of a Chapter 13.

When I sent my amendments, I sent a letter of explanation as to why I was amending them. I didn't have a gazillion amendments, though, and most of mine were to resolve issues brought up by the trustee.
