    dealing with dell

    hi,

I list it dell as unsecured. I bought the pc in 2007 but it broke on 2008 and I got rid of it before i filled bk on 2010. Would they make any problems now that I filled? Should i send them my automatic stay letter if they bother me???

Um. You did serve them when you filed, right?

      what do you means serve?
I list them as a creditor a long with the others and put them on the matrix as well.

Ok your district might do it for you, and for sure notice will go out via BNC, but in my district, I had to serve the matrix with a copy of the filing.

yes, i put it on the matrix and on the schedule with the unsecured creditors. I guess if they bother me (I hear is 90% unlikely)I'll send them the automatic stay letter i.e.: they can't contact you before the 341 meeting or may be i'll see them at the meeting (which i think is unlikely as well)if they go. Also, i heard that people just ignore the threats made by them. What do u think?

I think that since it sounds like you didn't serve the matrix, you had better check your local bankruptcy rules and find out if you were supposed to serve the matrix. I also think that if you didn't serve the matrix and you were supposed to, that you are looking at having your plan stricken or dismissed, if it hasn't been already. When did you file?

I filled today and they checked if i had the matrix and all the paperwork and they said everything looked okay.

Again. Check your local bankruptcy rules for instructions about noticing the matrix, or call the bankruptcy clerk and ask if you are required to serve the matrix. Do that tomorrow. Because if you are required to serve the matrix, you need to do that tomorrow as well and get your certificate of service filed with the court ASAP.
