Well we are part of the 60 day club now. We had our 341 hearing today and boy was I freaking out really bad. To start off with we had gotten a presumption of abuse notice from the trustee before our hearing. As it turns out I made a mistake on the Means Test. So we fixed that plus Schedule I and then sent it out.
Then at the 341 hearing we got nervous because there really weren't that many people representing themselves. Then I pointed out to my hubby that the attorney's that were there were not even prepared. The Trustee was very quick to point out their errors. I was so suprised to see all of the errors on the schedules. It was so unbelievable. You would think with all that money you spend it wouldn't be like that. The debtors got grilled like crazy.
So when our turn came up, there was a representative with the US Trustee's office. The Trustee asked us some basic questions and then asked us to clarify our means test. Then he said everything looked good. He asked the US Trustee if he had any questions, all that was asked by the US Trustee was if we did our own forms or did we have someone else do them. We answered truthfully that we did. Then we were excused and that was it. We never got grilled or anything. It lasted no more than 10 minutes and the Trustee and the US Trustee were both very nice to us. The Trustee had been so hard on the other debtor's and their attorney's.
It was just weird to me that the people who had attorney's got grilled and were under radar and we weren't. It really was a piece of cake. I feel like I worried for nothing haha.
Now I guess just wait and see.
