    Schedule F - Unsecured Creditors/Attorney

For those who have filed already, how did you list your unsecured creditors when there is a collection agency and/or attorney representing the original creditor?

    Example:
Bethesda Funding is owed $400.00, but they are represented by CCS, Inc., who has turned it over to Tom & Jerry. If I list all three sepearately on the Schedule F, it ups the total balances by an additional $800 (looks like I owe 3 different creditors $400 a piece.

    Should I list it as
Bethesda Funding c/o Tom & Jerry and then list all three companies on the Matrix so I get everyone involved, or will that look like we are hiding something?

I listed the original creditor with the amount. Directly under that entry, I put the collection agency. Under the column that says "consideration for claim," I put "Collection for Bethesda Funding" with a claim amount of $0. I also had many with a second collector and I made an identical entry for them. So, in your case, I would have three entries but only one amount.

Also, they should all three go on the matrix.

I did not list the collection agencies like that in Schedule F. In the program I used to prepare my paperwork, there is a selection called "also notify" when you enter a creditor, so they just show up on the matrix, not on the schedule F.

I can't remember where I read the suggestion, but I just put the creditor on Schedule F, but included debt collectors on the matrix, and added another continuation sheet to Schedule F that was an appendix alphabetically listing debt collectors, etc., what their account numbers were and which creditors' debts they were collecting on.

There seems to be a variety of extant ways this is done. It might be interesting to check through PACER a couple of other filings in your district to see how those were done.

Ditto here. Except I just typed "Duplicate" in the "Consideration for Claim" column. Some pages of my schedule F only had one original creditor, followed by 3 "Duplicates".
